Seriously the best running shorts I've ever owned. While I was a school racehorse for ten years, and I've kept up my daily running habit for many years as an adult, I never upgraded my running clothes (apart from my running shoes) until six years ago when I picked up several Altra "Racer Shorts", heavily discounted for some reason at the time from the original price of about $80 each. I've since been a loyal Altra customer with respect to running shoes, but the company unfortunately doesn't make what I consider good running clothes (apart from their running shoes) anymore, regardless of price. So when it came time for me to finally order more running shorts last year, I ended up picking up "Distance Shorts" from Ten Thousand that currently go for about the same price as the Altra shorts six years ago. In other words, they're quite expensive. While I like my Ten Thousand shorts, I still think my Altra shorts, which are still going strong, are better. However, I ran with my newly delivered FlipBelt running shorts for the first time while trail running this morning, and much to my surprise, these are better than either my Altra or my Ten Thousand shorts. The fit and comfort level while running is absolutely perfect, relative to my Altra shorts which are slightly too loose in retrospect and my Ten Thousand shorts which are slightly too tight in retrospect. I took a gamble ordering these FlipBelt running shorts due to the premium price and "elite" descriptor in the product listing here, and I'm glad that I did because $65 provides great value for the seasoned runner. All of this said, I personally don't care about the rear FlipBelt storage. I run naked sans any electronic devices, and I'm not about to store my cell phone in my back pocket, although I did test the fit of my Google Pixel 6 Pro, a rather large device, and it fit snugly due to the stretchable fabric. It's questionable whether the only other review posted here so far was written by an actual runner, as the individual ordered size X-Large and commented as to how these shorts are "perfect for any exercise." I ordered size Medium, which fit just like the model depicted in the product description here, rather than like this other reviewer.
