I am a die hard GT-2000 fan. On my fifth or six pair. But they changed the material on the upper and my big toe busted through my previous pair and is starting to on this pair as well, even though they are the same size I've always purchased and they don't feel too tight. It's so frustrating because they have lots of miles left on them but then holes in the toes. ☹️Buena calidad y de acuerdo a lo esperado. Me resultaron un poco duros para correr*UPDATE BELOW:New favorite running shoes. My toes are happy, dangling away in comfort outside. I have have arches, and are well supported due to the uneven foundations outside where I live.*Update- I can no longer wear these shoes . As you can tell by my initial review that they were very cozy. BUT after a while, I notice the back of my left ankle felt like that I was experiencing rug burn during my jogs. The discomfort became noticeable like it was a blister, so I took a mirror to this leg and a bubble was formed. The blister was in the middle as you can see I have three scars on the back of my left leg, and none on my right. Probably has to do with the mechanics of my body, but since I quit wearing these shoes, I feel no discomfort on my jogs anymore. The other scars on this leg could be related or not to these shoes , which I assume that they are. I’ve already began exfoliating more thoroughly to those areas, and they are beginning to lighten up. This was my experience with the shoes over a period of time. My advice would be to always pay more for running shoes. Lesson learned.Very tight in front, squeezes my foot and hurts. Definitely try getting a wide fit. Otherwise looks great and holds up great.I like the GT2000-7. They fit me. These aren’t quite the same. But close. They seem slightly more stiff and not in a good way.But I kept them as you can’t find this older model anymore and I have tried the newer models and prefer these.Size is almost true, maybe a quarter inch on the small side but not small enough to make too much of a difference. Provides support and comfort for walking (have not taken them on a run yet). Very nice cushion in the heel. Works well for weight lifting, cross training, and other workouts.Love these shoes! I’ve been an ASICS 2000 wearer for years. To me this are very well fitting and very supportive for walking or hiking. They have held up great so far (3 months). My feet don’t hurt! Much better than my last ASICs. I don’t hike that much but do walking trails with Little Rock’s or sand that my shoes will slip on while going up or down hill. Not with these. They also protect your feet so if you step on a rock it doesn’t hurt. Heel stays secure doesn’t slip up and down ! Yay!! Toe box seems perfect to me - I’ve had ASICS too tight and too loose in toe box, this are ‘just right’.I would have given this shoe 5 starts but the color is so ugly. This shoe was recommended by my orho surgeon after double knee replacement surgery. sThey are very light, great traction. the heal cup cradles my heal and my balance and stability feel great. I have knee back neck and feet problems and I had no pain when walking in these. I have tried sooooo many shoes but these are my favorite by far. Just wish they had more colors to choose from.Im a convert to Asics trainers after my excellent podiatrist recommended them - im on my feet all day and the GT2000 versions stop me getting injuries and tired legs. So I wanted to try the walking shoes for walking my dog in the wet muddy winter conditions. They look a bit more 'with it' than other walking shoes as they are more styled on a trainer. Ive tested the waterproof-ness and they work great, and they are not heavy like traditional walking boots/shoes. Only gripe is that as other reviewers mention they can be a bit narrow and ive had to stretch them quite a bit to get my 'plate sof meat' into them! Update: Bought some for my son now and he likes them too, although horrified by having to wear the same walking shoes as his Mum (sooo uncool)! This is a solid pair of shoes. I have worn them on holidays, hiking trips and they still look like new. They're a little bit 'heavy' but I don't have any issues walking around. To be honest, the insole is very comfortable and supportive. Size wise, I'm usually a size 5 and I buy Asics size 6. For this one, I had to buy size 6.5.I bought these shoes for walking on long jaunts, they are very comfortable and it's like walking on air. Very pleased with them.No stranger to ASICS I always buy a half size bigger but apart from that I would never deviate. Hands down the best shoes for anyone who walks, jogs, trails, runs, sprints, pick your poison and enjoy!I always buy a size bigger and i definitely need it with Asics as i find they're small fitting. These are comfortable and springy and i will recommend them to anyone.
