I am a regular runner. I wanted a pair of solid shoes that could stand up to the elements but still provide the comfort and performance I needed for running. I read up on the Untraboost C.Rdy running shoe and gave them a try.Fit and feel: These shoes are true to size. Unless you have wide feet or are planning to wear thick socks when running, I would recommend your regular size. They initially feel snug but after playing with the lacing system and wearing them, they are very comfortable. They provide a good amount of "spring" which helps feel like one is being propelled forward when running. I find them to be a very comfortable shoe both for running and walking. Some people complained that it takes them "5 minutes" to put these shoes on and I don't get that. These shoes don't have a tongue and are "slip ons" with a locking lacing system. All one needs to do is loosen the locking system, pull the "lacing cage" apart and the shoes are very easy to get on and off.Style and materials: I think the style is pretty cool and the colorways offered are great for the price. They come lace with a "locking system", pull the laces tight, slide down the lock and you are good to go. On my summer running shoes, they have traditional laces that allow me to do a "heel lock" for a tight fit. These Ultraboosts are not designed like that whether you use the locking laces or the traditional laces that come with the shoes. The material is water repellant but not "waterproof", they will repel water but if you are running in puddles your feet will get wet. The materials all seem top notch and there is some stretch in the toe box which adds to the comfort. There is some slight padding in the heals which help hold the shoe to your feet nicely.Performance: if you are getting this because you are a "sneaker head" and just plan to walk around in them, you'll love them. If you are a runner, unless you enjoy "minimalistic" running shoes these perform very well. I ran this summer in a pair of ASIC Gel excite 7s and to be honest I don't feel much difference in the "spring" of these shoes, especially considering these cost a 3rd of the price. However, these shoes do not have the heal padding, the water resistance, or the "speed lacing" system of these Ultraboosts. They are warm. I ran today in 20-degree weather with just regular socks and my feet were warm and comfortable. I have had no blisters or soreness wearing them. Again, these are VERY comfortable shoes. They also have Continental Rubber on the treads which provide good grip for slippery surfaces. They feel very good when running.Botton line: True to size, only get a 1/2 size up if you have wide feet or plan to wear thick socks. They perform well as a running shoe and provide good warmth, grip and water resistance for running in the elements. Price may be a factor if one is looking to wear these as casual athletic shoes. I recommend these for winter runners, though there are more "serious" choices out there at a high price point!
