I have lots of issues with my feet (neuroma's, plantar fasciitis, tarsal tunnel) and the Saucony Guide 9 have been a life-saver. Typically when I buy new running shoes, I have at least a 2 week adjustment period where my feet absolutely kill me when wearing the new shoes. This is the first running shoe I am able to put on and wear all day with no break-in period. This is the 3rd pair I've bought; the first two I got from my local shoe store but they are quite colorful. I was in need of a more neutral pair and found these on Amazon. The shoe runs small; I typically wear a woman's 6.5 in dress shoes and a 7 in running shoes (to accommodate my orthotics). In these I wear a 7.5. My only complaint is the mesh by the big toe wears through really quickly. Granted, I am in them all day (16+ hours) every day but they wear through after about 4-5 months.My daughter purchased these to replace her last pair of Saucony Ride running shoes. She's been running in these shoes for four years now starting I think with the 6s or 7s. She's a now-retired HS Cross-Country and Track runner but now that she's in college is actually logging even more miles per week. The shoes seem to last about 400 miles, so we replace every 3 months or so. She loves these shoes obviously and has had no foot, knee, ankle or hip problems and I do think some of that is due to the fact that these shoes fit her so well. The shoes are cushioned but springy and responsive. She is a neutral runner with moderately high arches, 5'6" and weighing 123 pounds. She wears a custom orthotic in one shoe due to a slight leg-length discrepancy and it fits perfectly in her shoe. We are sold on the Saucony Ride!I love these shoes, they look fantastic! The only reason that I am giving them four stars is that they are wider than the cut of the exact same shoe in other material. As a result, I can't actually wear them for the intended purpose (running and cross-fit) because my foot moves around too much.I saw from other reviewers that they ran about 1/2 size too small so I ordered accordingly. It was a perfect fit for me so I would agree that they run 1/2 size off. Happy with fit and comfort.Very comfortable!! I use them for my nursing shoes and they are working out great so far.Nice to finally find a black and gray running shoe. I’m not always into the flashy colors. Love the brand of course.Lightweight and breathable I wear a large size not commonly found in stores usually sold out or not available, great for good weather training, now I need a waterproof pair for winterSending shoes back. Love them, but I own 2 others that are perfect. This style runs narrow and small !Best running shoe for plus size woman. Light, durable. PERFECT.
