I liked the ruffle look on the skirt and thought this would be fun for something different. I typically don't wear skirts, but though the skort style would be a fun alternative, to give the fun skirt look with the comfort of coverage. The ruffles were fun and bouncy and I did have some fun just walking and adding some twirl - who doesn't need to add a little fun in their day? I did struggle a bit with washing, I had to iron the ruffles, but the cool iron did work and I was able to hit the ground running. I did notice that the spandex at the ends did leave my skin a little itchy, but this could just be the sticky material at the end of the spandex to keep the shorts from riding up. The only pockets are the inner pockets, so a bit awkward to get items in/out, but it does work for a phone. No issue with the pocket weighing down. Fun piece.This skirt is super cute, and the material is very soft! However, it is shorter than I was expecting. I am 5'8 for reference, and it did not cover my butt. it does have shorts underneath it which is nice, but I still felt that it was too short. Besides this, I love this skirt!I got a medium and it fit how I wanted it to. The only thing I don’t like is the shorts underneath are a little tight on my thighs. They do have a grip on them that they sometimes put in headbands that keep them from slipping and riding up so i do like that just wish they weren’t as tight. It’s fun and lightweight I would recommend it otherwiseThis skirt is made of a medium weight spandex. The shorts underneath are made of the same weight. The shorts have nice tennis ball pockets with extra elastic for a better hold.The hem of the skirt ruffles has no binding or stitching of any sort. It’s just cut. But it has not frayed or snagged, even though I disobeyed the care instructions by machine washing it.I got the black one and so far there is no fading.It’s cute!
